Meet Mario, Kalaro’s technical savant and the mastermind behind Kalaro’s innovative music software. Armed with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Technical Sciences, Mario seamlessly blends academic rigour with practical application, translating complex concepts into tangible solutions. Mario’s expertise lies in using advanced technologies such as Ruby on Rails and Angular to design and develop Kalaro’s software application. His knowledge extends to managing Postgres, an open-source database, on the back-end and fostering a smooth user experience on the front-end. He ensures that the software is not only functional and reliable but also visually appealing and intuitive for users. In an increasingly mobile world, Mario has equipped the software with Progressive Web App (PWA) support through Ionic, enhancing the user experience by making the software look and behave like a mobile app. This detail-oriented approach ensures the software remains versatile, adaptable, and at the forefront of technological advancements. To ensure seamless communication with various music platforms, Mario has skilfully integrated the official application programming interface (API). His attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and command over contemporary software technologies makes Kalaro’s software a model of technical excellence. Alongside his software development role, Mario also takes on the responsibility of project management, expertly coordinating with other developers on projects. His capacity to lead, manage, and collaborate not only reflects his versatility but also significantly contributes to the harmonious, efficient operation of the Kalaro team. As Kalaro’s Artist and Repertoire Coordinator, Teddy is the backbone of our creative operations. He manages the delicate orchestration of new releases while also maintaining a keen eye on our ever-growing back catalogue. Teddy’s role is critical in ensuring that all our music finds its rightful place on various music platforms. He meticulously coordinates with distributors to guarantee secure and correct release of all our music. Teddy is also in charge of registering our music for neighbouring rights income with various royalty collection societies. His knowledge of the intricate workings of these societies is a testament to his dedication and commitment to his role. With a deep understanding of metadata, Teddy regularly updates Kalaro’s back catalogue, ensuring that our music is always accessible and properly categorized. Moreover, Teddy has developed an extensive understanding of international music markets. His keen insight into the Asian music market, particularly China, has proven invaluable to Kalaro. He assists in identifying new markets and opportunities, contributing significantly to Kalaro’s international reach. Teddy’s work is marked by high motivation and unwavering dedication to his tasks.
