Specializing in creating audio masterpieces with some of the finest sampled instruments on the market, JR’s work is a testament to the limitless possibilities of modern music production. Whether invoking the unparalleled sound of the Stradivari “Vesuvius”, rendering the powerful resonance of a unique concert grand Yamaha CFX 9′, or encapsulating the charming timbre of a Kamaka HF-3 Ukulele, JR demonstrates a superb knack for bringing these instruments to life within his Logic Pro X DAW. As an accomplished guitarist, studio musician, and composer based in Serbia, Vanja brings a unique sonic identity to Kalaro’s offerings. Known as the leader of the well-known Serbian band, Vanya con Trios, Vanja has three albums, countless performances, and a feature as a session guitarist in “Guitar World” magazine’s May 2021 issue to his name. Vanja’s mastery isn’t limited to performance alone; he owns and operates Studio Armadillo, a well-equipped music studio boasting a vast collection of vintage guitars, top-quality amps, acoustic guitars, pedals, and studio tube microphones and preamps. This seasoned musician has the ability to record professional guitar tracks for your songs, effortlessly transcending the boundaries of acoustic and electric styles. He’s a creative, intuitive artist with a discerning ear and the ability to play without scores or sheets. With an array of instruments and amps at his disposal, Vanja can shape the sound to your liking. Everything from the classic 1976 Fender Strat to the versatile Kala Ukulele, from the mighty ’77 Marshall 2203 w/ 4×12 1982b cabinet to the iconic Roland Jazz Chorus 120, he has the tools to create rich, evocative soundscapes. Every track is captured with top-quality studio mics routed through dedicated outboard preamps and an RME FF 802 for the highest sound fidelity. Bringing versatility and a wealth of experience, Tim Riehm, hailing from Nashville, USA, is a significant addition to Kalaro’s roster of talent. His work across genres, especially dance music, has earned him over 4 million streams on Spotify through collaborations with artists like DAZZ, Glaceo, and Arcando. As a solo artist, Tim shines even brighter, his singer-songwriter approach to pop music attracting nearly 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Adept at fulfilling a range of vocal requirements – from melodies and harmonies to backing vocals – Tim delivers both quality and efficiency. With his own in-house recording studio, he has served as the lead vocalist in numerous sessions in and around Nashville, some of which have won prestigious accolades like the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. Tim’s vocal range is wide and distinct, often likened to artists like Allen Stone, Adam Levine, and Calum Scott. He immerses himself in each project, bringing flexibility, persistence, and a shared vision for the song’s potential. Beyond his impressive vocal abilities, Tim has significantly impacted Kalaro’s relaxing acoustic tracks. Eli Staples, hailing from Washington D.C., USA, brings an eclectic blend of musical experience to Kalaro. Having performed with renowned R&B artists such as Ashanti, Mya, and Robin Thicke, rock legends Journey, and international jazz artists including Karen Briggs, Nnenna Freelon, Cindy Bradley, and Jessy J, Eli has traveled and performed across the globe, showcasing his talents in a multitude of styles. Eli’s vast experience extends beyond live performance and encompasses studio work, where he has excelled in multiple roles: as a keyboardist, vocalist, producer, and music director. His extensive career spans decades and a variety of venues, from intimate bars to massive stadiums, endowing him with a unique perspective and an array of skills. Particularly adept at working with vocalists, Eli uses his own experiences as a performer and recording artist to understand the challenges singers face and how to navigate them. This empathetic approach enhances his collaborations and adds an extra dimension to his work. Eli’s musical journey started on the streets and in the clubs of Washington D.C. and New York. This background, combined with classical piano training, a degree in Pipe Organ Performance, and intensive studies in improvisation across jazz, pop, and classical counterpoint, has shaped him into a versatile and well-rounded musician.
